Last week, I went to Wat Pa Luangta Bua Yannasampanno (Tiger Temple) located at Kanchanaburi provice. It is far from Bangkok province about 300 kilometers. The objectives of this temple are to disseminate Buddhism and to conserve forests and wildlife.

Surrounding this temple are many mountain ranges and natural forest. I was very happy, but I couldn’t go inside the Tiger Canyon because I wore pink T-shirt. Tigers are easily attracted and might harmful anybody who wears vivid or hot colors. Therefore, I could only take some pictures from postcards.

I noticed the same as Craig-if warm bright colors are forbidden, then why allow the people in orange robes near the tigers? I know you did not make the rules, Lux, and are not responsible to answer for them.

I don't know...but no-one has ever been attacked by the tigers. The monks and Tiger Temple staff have very good control over the tigers and can read their behaviour extremely well.

Tigers have been hand-reared with compassion by the monks and have had interaction since they were young cubs.

they are very cute & pitying !!!!!!
Do you know ?...Local people intercepted cubs, whose mothers were killed from poachers, brought them to the temple. The Abbot took them in when no-one else would and cares for them as his sons and daughters.
